From Mattituck train station, near historic Love Lane, head east through the picturesque North Fork towns of Cutchogue, Peconic, Southold, Greenport, and East Marion to Orient Point. Many of the roads travel along the water / with water views.
There's a turn around at Orient Beach State Park then the route travels along the north road trying to spend as much time as possible on the less traveled roads through some shaded sections as well as open farmland and wineries. This is a flat course with only 1,500' of climbing although the headwinds can sometimes be challenging.
Riders can grab lunch and beverages at a number of local favorites on Love Lane and you'll pass numerous wineries and farm stands for stops along the way.
There is parking at the train station and across the street behind Love Lane shops.
