A reverse directional route of the most recent PH Loop, 2013, crossing the Hudson both ways at Poughkeepsie.

This is derivative of the original work of Ron Roth and Terry Leaves. Actually it is a mirror image of their ride.

Fluid/food stops listed on cue sheet.

Authors' comment regarding doing this route at the same time another group did the counterclockwise route: "The 2 groups rode the train together to Poughkeepsie. The other group of 15 took off in their counterclockwise direction. Our group of 7 left 5 minutes later to go clockwise. The 2 groups passed each other at approximately the half way point, mile 52 in our direction. Their pack was thundering downhill on 214 while we were laboring up it. Then, after 107 miles, 8,100', at the exact spot where the loop closed, we spotted each other again, completely by chance. They went by. We waited for the light and then turned left onto 299 to follow them about 30 seconds later. We chased to catch them (at about 27 mph as they did not want us to catch them as you might imagine!) and we all finished together! What are the chances of that? That was bizarre."

Check Metro North for current times.
