A one hour ride on Metro North's Harlem line will take you to Pleasantville from GCT.

Ask the conductor on boarding if all doors will open at Pleasantville. If in doubt, ride no further back than the 3rd car from the rear.

Exit the stairs at the rear of the train.

There is a shorter entrance to Graham Hills saving you a few tenths of a mile, but the trail from there is generally not well maintained. Negotiating fallen trees will slow you down. If you are game, take a left at the first intersection on Bedford Rd, onto Marble Avenue. At 0.8 mile, keep and take a right at the traffic light. At the immediate next light cross the Saw Mill Parkway. This is an extremely dangerous intersection. Use judgement and caution. The access path is in front of you. Follow the path to the T. Going right will take you up to the park's high point via the blue or red trails, which means you will walk your bike at some point. Going left will lead you clockwise around the blue periphery trail.

If you are returning to the train, time is short, and you are a the high point (where Updraft ends, the White trail begins, Tumbleweed and Motorcycle descends,) go towards the Blue trail clockwise, take the first trail on your left. It will shortly take you out to a residential street. Follow the streets down to access Bedford Road via Locust Road. It is evident on maps of the area.

There is a convenience store in a gas station off Bedford Road, on the left just after you make your turn in town. There is a bike shop in Pleasantville: Ride of Pleasantville,  351 Manville Rd. And of course you can have something to eat while waiting for your train home at Jean-Jacques, diagonally across from the train on the corner of Bedford & Marble.
