Take a lovely suburban route to Historic New Bridge Landing on the Hackensack River. This site passed back & forth through British and American hands during the Revolutionary War and now contains the Steuben House, the Campbell-Christie House and other historic buildings. After touring the site and reading the historical markers, continue on to lunch at the River Edge Diner - a classic New Jersey diner and bakery. Cycle home on side roads, climbing Walnut to return to the GW Bridge. Mapped route starts & ends at Grant's Tomb.

We've added a shorter (40 miles), more direct route for C riders:  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35188072 (see second cue sheet). This route has a picnic lunch in a lovely park (with restrooms) and comes home up Churchill instead of Walnut. The route starts & ends at Dinosaur Playground on Riverside Dr. at W. 97th St.
