A great century ride out on the north shore of Long Island. See how well the rich live! Scenic; some short, sharp hills; stretches of road to motor on; stretches of road to dally on—this ride has it all.

Be warned—not the easiest cue sheet to follow, though lots of fun. An exact century, it requires a full day with plenty of daylight—not for spring or fall. However, the distance can easily be trimmed down late into the ride. In addition, one can end the ride in Flushing and take the subway the rest of the way home in order to avoid slogging through afternoon traffic in Queens.

Have lunch early in Oyster Bay or Bayville, however, later on, Sea Cliff offers a nice park with a scenic view and a corner deli a couple blocks away.
